peedenmark7 #1 Posted October 5, 2012 Wondering if anyone here remembers a JC Penney pong system from the 70's ? It may not even be from Penneys, we got it for Christmas from a family member the same year ['77] as we got our Atari C-380. I vaguely remember the horrid black and white game play, compared to our new full color Atari. What stands out to this day was the God awful up/down Slide Switch to move the paddle, that became glitchy after about a month making you miss the ball all the time. I think you could also remove the handsets from the console like Atari's pong, this was a cheapy system for sure. Does this ring any bells for you old schoolers ? Thanks ! SlowCoder #2 Posted October 5, 2012 Probably a Sears pong console?
BassGuitari #3 Posted October 5, 2012 I've heard of JCPenney-branded systems. They're just generic Pong knockoffs, and their designs were licensed (I imagine) from some other company, who probably also licensed it out to half a dozen other companies. the.golden.ax #4 Posted October 5, 2012 Were those the units with the white paddles P1 with red button and spinner, and P2 with a blue button and spinner?

the.golden.ax #7 Posted October 5, 2012 My parents got a system from JCP back in the day (I was 2 or 3) that had paddles just like the Odyssey TV... but it was stand alone I think. Anyone know what that is?
