how to activate tempest 2k rotary control with only one controller?

Ok, switch on game.

Hit button

Hit option

Go to controller type

Scroll down to P1, hit fire button to change.

I actually made a patch for this so that the menu is enabled from start without having to do the "press option at both ports" bit. It will be released soon. (of course this means that you'll have to burn a new set of ROMs or use a skunkboard or similar to play it)

ACrystal2011, until ggn releases his patched version of Tempest, and short of the paper clip hack, you're welcome BTW on showing the normal way to get a rotary working on Tempest.

I've also added an infinite lives trainer to it, which will be available at the same time

You'll want a second controller regardless though, to add in initials for high scores, and for bonus rounds. And dammit, you should just have two controllers anyway
