PFL Posted October 14, 2012 Share Posted October 14, 2012 I was just wondering if anyone had any opinions on the rarity of this game. I checked the rarity guide but there was no useful info there... It doesn't seem to come up on eBay etc that often but it seems to me that, at least anecdotally, the game was and is pretty popular. high voltage Posted October 19, 2012 Share Posted October 19, 2012 (edited) Yes, I had the Beamrider patch way back in 86. I was playing Keystone Kapers and I got a highscore for getting a patch. I polaroided the screen and sent it off to Ariolasoft who, at the time, distributed video games in Germany, and months later I received a Beamrider patch (the common one). Go figure (I realised it was way after obviously they supplied patches for highscores, but hey, I tried and I got something in return, which was cool enough). Patch's gone now with my first (regrettably) selling my VCS collection. As for the game getting rare, seems to be going that way.
