Fushek #1 Posted October 15, 2012 There are so many things about eBay (or any sales forum for that matter) that can annoy you, but here are two of my top eBay Pet Peeves: 1) Anyone who writes "[email protected]@K!" ... "[email protected]" ... does anyone actually think that I'm MORE interested in their auctions because they use an @ symbol? 2) And please, for the love of all that is holy, keep your BARE feet out of the picture, ESPECIALLY if the items are on the floor right by your disgusting toes. (Only exception here would be if the seller is a really cute girl with nicely manicured and painted toenails for which I may actually increase my bid ... but I digress) Thoughts? +thegoldenband #2 Posted October 15, 2012 Yeah, I have no idea what's going on with the "[email protected]@K" thing. It's one of the dumber forms of herd behavior I've seen. Not sure that you can infer the cuteness of the lady by the cuteness of her feet, though. I've known some beautiful women with gnarly feet (e.g. dancers) and some, er, less appealing women with meticulously groomed feet.
Utopia #3 Posted October 15, 2012 And there are those annoying sellers whom claim their items to be "extremely rare" when in fact they are "extremely common".
Metal Ghost #4 Posted October 15, 2012 OP..... you should have put [email protected]@K in the thread title! But seriously, agreed.

+Gemintronic #6 Posted October 15, 2012 I think I mentioned this before, but I just noticed it again for the billionth time: Retards that give "no AC adapter" as an excuse to sell as-is when THE DEVICE IS CLEARLY BATTERY POWERED. I mean, really? How am I supposed to trust someone who doesn't at least TRY to demonstrate faith in what they're selling..
JasonlikesINTV #7 Posted October 16, 2012 I can't stand when the show pics only of the labels of loose carts and you can't make out the Imagic games. Is there a Fathom in there or not!

sqoon #9 Posted October 16, 2012 And there are those annoying sellers whom claim their items to be "extremely rare" when in fact they are "extremely common". I have found that many put "rare" in the title for search reasons. Annoying, but I understand the line of thought involved at least. Whenever a search includes "rare" and whatever else (Intellivision, 2600, Colecovision, etc.) their item will come up in the results.
bomberpunk #10 Posted October 16, 2012 i hate "new box opened to verify contents". if was sealed, then everything was in there. leave it effing sealed!

I have to think that anyone savvy enough to want rare games is going to search for them by title. Searching on "rare" is like going to a car dealership and saying "Hi, I'd like to buy something expensive," or going to a restaurant and saying "Could I have your most overpriced, marked-up wine, please?" Kefka15 #13 Posted October 16, 2012 I get mad when sellers have the term "Collectors" in the name of the item. An example would be "SuPeR RaRe Dreamcast Sonic Sega COLLECTORS!!!". It just ticks me off. Obviously most of the time an item like that is hyped up for no reason (its usually just a common game or something). It clearly shows you that they hope to get a ridiculous amount of money. They hope that some dumb collector will drool over it and bite the bullet on it. nukeshed #14 Posted October 16, 2012 I'll be pretty honest. The only thing I really care about is pictures. Whether there are no pictures, or stock pictures, everything else is just advertising, and Im pretty much desensitized to it.
bomberpunk #15 Posted October 17, 2012 "very collectible" or "extremely collectible". yeah, so is cat shit (if you're my dog).
DZ-Jay #16 Posted October 17, 2012 As a lame and casual e-Bay user, the thing that I hate the most is the sneaky shipping. I can't tell you how many times I almost fell for that: I see an item with a very low bid, and a very reasonable "buy it now" price. I think "wow! what a steal!" I re-read the description to make sure it's exactly what I am thinking, yes it is. And just when I am about to click the "buy it now" button, I see it: a couple of hundred dollars shipping charges! WTF??! That's just wrong.
