LidLikesIntellivision #2 Posted October 16, 2012 Did you check the pause button? EDIT: oh man, I just saw your status. You're in the hospital waiting for surgery? Forget the Coleco for a moment.
NIAD #3 Posted October 16, 2012 It should work without a problem, I have mine hooked up to the Video-In 1 Inputs (Composite Inputs) of my Sony 26" LCD and everything works perfectly. I also have an ADAM Computer hooked up to the same LCD's Video-In 2 Inputs. Are you sure you plugged the three RCA jacks on the cable that Yurkie provides to the correct "COMPOSITE" inputs and not to COMPONENT inputs?

Mine is hooked to a Samsung 26'' LED with Intellivision and Wii. Everything in composite. No problem here.

WispFollower #6 Posted October 16, 2012 What size screen is the lcd?
sega_SHARK #8 Posted October 16, 2012 sometimes tvs have two video inputs that share the same channel. try unplugging everything from video inputs and test again. If YV works on crt, it should work on LCD.
InfraMan #9 Posted October 16, 2012 Oddly enough, I had the same problem with my Yurkievision. It worked fine on one TV using direct composite, but not the other... the "other" unfortunately being the one I needed to use it on Luckily, I already had a multi-input composite selector routed through an HDMI-upscaler hooked up to that TV. I found that it worked fine that way, for whatever reason. Looks great, too!

I have my Yurkavision hooked up to 48' LED soon to be a 72' LED when the one I want comes out That seems very strange that it won't work and has to be some kind of hit to the head I can't believe I did that setup thing?? Especially if it works on CRT, shouldn't it be the same signal going into the tvs.
InfraMan #11 Posted October 16, 2012 That upscaler could be delaying you from seeing the screen though and making the games harder to play? Nah, I get no lag at all... nothing that I've ever noticed, anyway. It has composite and S-Video inputs, so I have a bunch of my old systems going through it. Tursi #12 Posted October 16, 2012 The ColecoVision, like a lot of consoles of its day, only outputs half a video frame - you can think of it as 240P instead of 480i if you want to be silly. Some modern devices don't like this signal. I had a projector that could not sync reliably to the ColecoVision, my TI-99/4A, my 2600 or my Genesis. CRTs don't need to make sense of the signal quite so much, they just display it, but LCDs (and DLPs like the projector I had, and most modern HD sets) need to convert it. sqoon #14 Posted October 17, 2012 Related question: Has anyone experienced a CRT that Yurkie A/V modded CV will not work on through component ports?

My jag composite works so just trying to find out why the coleco wont Make sure that you wait long enough for the signal to go through. I have my Yurkified CV hooked up to my JVC stereo receiver via an available VCR spot. When I turn on the CV is takes a good 20-25 seconds before the picture appears on the screen. It's almost like it's an old TV warming up. By the time the picture appears on the screen, it is already past the intro screen, and onto the blue input screen for level and player select. At first I thought my Yurkie CV did not work, but then I just waited, and the picture appeared. It plays and looks great. But, when I connect it directly to the TV, it is on instantaneously. So...try waiting a good minute and see if the picture appears.
