beamer320i Posted February 21, 2017 Share Posted February 21, 2017 Heh...just to muddy the waters even more - I recently bought this drive along with the 800XL from the OP (We're actually members of a CB/amateur radio forum who by coincidence happened to mention Atari..) I made him an offer for 1050 drive, I later bid on the 800XL and won it on ebay. The 800XL has stock OS, Ultimon and a Speeder OS. The 1050 has two switches - the left switch is for normal/enhanced, and the right switch chooses between Happy and US Doubler when enhanced is chosen. No write protect though...Both are a 'bit' yellow so it's time for the peroxide! The 1050 is nice though having the switch, saves having to boot the master Happy disc to switch it into 'unhappy' mode for certain software e.g. Electronic Arts games, etc. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
