GT Turbo #78 Posted November 5, 2013 Bubble Bobble is a very funny game, i have played a lot some years ago. Some great hours to 'Bubble' the ennemies !!! A Falcon version has been done by Reservoir Gods ( http://www.reservoir-gods.com/game.htm ) great Falcon port. Played a lot too !!
+Gemintronic #79 Posted November 5, 2013 Me and my best friend played the password screen (NES) more than the game itself. He'd take the pedantic route of trying sequential combinations and I tried different patterns. We found one or two secret bosses that way. Good times. JagChris #80 Posted November 6, 2013 The sides of the screen are trunacted. Is it suppose to be like that or is it my tv settings?
+CyranoJ #81 Posted November 6, 2013 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vTbFY-llm5I It should look like that.
JagChris #82 Posted November 6, 2013 I dont get the Title screen. I get a bunch of flashing etc. then the Bubble Bobble High score and then the credits screen. But will check the width settings on my tv.
+CyranoJ #83 Posted November 6, 2013 Yeah I didn't enable the title screen on that ROM, I don't like handing out LSD

+doctorclu #89 Posted January 4, 2015 Was playing Star Raiders on the ST tonight and I forgot how good that version actually was. Anyway, if the ported Star Raiders (ST) was ever released naturally I would love to give that a go.
JagChris #90 Posted January 7, 2015 While we're messing with binaries is it possible to get the 'up is jump' problem fixed?
Lost Dragon #91 Posted January 9, 2015 Bubble Bobble!!!! Like THE game of my youth and then some. Never took to Rainbow Islands, Bubble Bobble just bloody worked. The 2 Player game for myself and then best mate Lee Beverage. Seeing this and all the other old games i so fondly remember, it's enough to make me openly weep salty tears of joy.

+CyranoJ #96 Posted June 8, 2015 One day I'll fix the sound. Promise. Today is one day. Completely re-done, using SCPCD's '3rd generation' screen copy routine, ZeroSquare's SoundEngine (muLaw samples!) and pad input routines, and the latest versions of my ST wrapper routines, here is Bubble Bobble (again!) that doesn't sound like a cat being dragged thru a wood chipper underwater. Oh, also put the original title pic back in bubble.rom

masematte #99 Posted June 8, 2015 Perfect, is it rigt that only one player mode is running ?u
Isgoed #100 Posted June 8, 2015 This is very nice CyranoJ, thanks!! With the original BB the 2-player mode doesn't work for me. With arcade BB the second player can join in, but his dragon keeps on jumping.
