IntellivisionDude #1 Posted October 28, 2012 Okay, so i was trying out DZ-Jay's Pac-Man demo on an emulator and it plays excellent (there is a point and that's not it, but i will say it would be a big hit if released). It cornered excellent even with my crappy Microsoft Sidewinder Controller that i probably bought over 10 years ago (that's the real point). If i can't have a Cuttle Cart the next best thing is a better controller to play with on my computer. Ya i know i also missed out on that Ultimate PC Interface that was sold as well. Oh well. But i'm sure just for the games i need it for, i just need any controller that works good for maze games like Burgertime. Maybe something with an Analog stick? Do you think an Xbox360 or PS3 controller would work well? Anything has to better than the D-pad on my Sidewinder. It is god awful. Worse than god awful. What do you experienced emulator users recommend? I don't really care if it has enough buttons to program the number pad. I just need a good D-Pad or Analog Stick and that's if an Analog Stick would even work. When i do emulate i use Nostalgia. And i was just trying out the Burgertime Hack with new levels which i will say is amazing. But i had a hard time controlling with my Sidewinder. I'll take donations too. Rev #8 Posted October 29, 2012 Pimpmaul, when a Wii is modified, what happens when you do an update? Does Nintendo find out and brick your console or something?

Does Nintendo find out and brick your console or something? nintendo has not done an update in about 2 years for a system update. there are programs that block updates anyways. nukeshed #12 Posted October 30, 2012 I use nostalgia and a 360 controller Also a great idea. I just can't get my crappy 3rd party 360 Controller receiver to work on my PC. It might just be time to buy a wired one.
WispFollower #13 Posted October 30, 2012 I absolutely love using an nes advantage with Colecovision, Intellivision, and mame emulators. It gives a great arcade action feel. It is one of my favorite controllers of all time- huge, durable, and excellent button/stick action.

Most PC games only recognize the wired one anyway. I still can't fathom why the 360 and PS3 came with wireless controllers.

nukeshed #18 Posted October 30, 2012 Without analog, what's the point? Nothing more than using a comfortable, consistent controller
C-SectionSamurai #19 Posted October 30, 2012 It's also possible to use a PS3 controller (although it must remain plugged in) with a driver and control mapping software. I'm not sure how well it would work with INTV games, but it worked well for more modern games I have played.
