voltron #2 Posted November 4, 2012 (edited) im sure they could get sued for using the name, but metrics is growing as it has many applications i the world, and many companies that are involved with DOD contracts have politicians on their side. so it would be costly to sue for the name and difficult if they got politicians watching their back.. when you work in defense your in a different world. my friends work heavily with dod and when ever their is an issue they get politicians involved and issues disappear... voltron #5 Posted November 4, 2012 What the crap is the program used for...looks like big brother is watching! They should be sued for watching and profiling the public without their knowledge. There are so many applications to metrics especially with the DoD. my friend while working on a project for DoD built a metrics device that he mounted to his car that can locate police vehicles hiding or approaching. sort of like a high tech radar detector, Not technically legal, but bc of his dod clearance they cant really do much to him if ever pulled over and the cop asked what the device was. but there are so many applications. Vegas has a lot of commercial applications for it in the casinos to recognize cheats and certain behavior patterns that they have set the device to pick up. DoD = Department of Defense Metrics = The program for facial recognition (a different type of facial that you are used to) R or D = Research or Development (in this case Voltron meant Republican or Democrat) edit: Voltron! Just type out the words and make it easier on us, we dont speak your spy language. Edited November 4, 2012 by revolutionika
voltron #11 Posted November 4, 2012 Intellidude...... DoD = Department of Defense Metrics = The program for facial recognition (a different type of facial that you are used to) R or D = Research or Development By r i meant republican and d democrat yeah dod is dept of defense. metrics is more than just facial recognition its a broad term. facial recognition is one aspect but the same idea has many other r applications.
