atari181 #2 Posted November 4, 2012 Huh? Then why point it out in a forum of collectors? Just bid high enough to win or move on.

DZ-Jay #5 Posted November 4, 2012 So did you win it? I won. I needed a PAL console, and some of those games.

We are a community and we help one another. As DZ said, you must be new to these parts.

I didn't know how things worked here. Please don't bid anymore on this, as I really need it for my collection http://www.gamegavel.com/item.cgi?show_item=0000687017

atari181 #11 Posted November 4, 2012 Yes because a holy grail game is equivalent to a system package with a lot of mostly commons. It is to me.( the bidder) its all relative to what you can/will spend on an auction. If this post was for an R9/10 I may have found an auction that I needed. Just so happens this isn't something I was interested in. If it was something I needed and was looking for at a price I found worth buying it I would bid. If that makes me an asshole, oh well, I'll be an asshole with the auction YOU pointed out.

Of course, invading the conversation just to point out that I should increase my bid in order to win it, runs counter to your argument. If your intention was to disrupt an otherwise quite thread and pick an argument, then CONGRATULATIONS! You've won the Troll Of The Day Award. It's always nice to meet new kinds of people. -dZ.
Atari_Bill #13 Posted November 4, 2012 As a person that frequents both the Atari & Intellivision boards on a daily basis, there is a world of difference between them. There is definitely a greater sense of family / community on the Intelliivision board that the Atari boards just don't have. I love both systems personally, but the folks on the Intellivision board will make you feel at home whereas on the Atari boards there are the big players that rule. If you're not one of them, you're not really anything.

My point, which obviously went over your head. Is that you are doing yourself(the chance of winning the auction) more harm than good by posting the auction link. Nothing more or less. Not trolling just pointing something that seems fairly obvious to me. My intent was to possibly help you in future purchases you may bid on, nothing more. Happy collecting! This may be true in other forums and other consoles. Here many of us will opt out if someone else needs the game. I haved opt out of auctions and some other friends on here have also. me and another member were discussing a supervision 8000 I really wanted it wo we discussed it and the member decided not to bid and I won it with out a artificial price increase. Well a different item comes around and this time I will opt out and wait my turn for the next one. Edited November 4, 2012 by voltron

Nothing more or less. Fixed grammar, punctuation, and subject statement (unless DZ is the personification of the chance to win the auction). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sTSA_sWGM44 Edited November 4, 2012 by nukeshed
voltron #19 Posted November 4, 2012 sometimes we have even united on an auction to win it. Say a lot has one game I needed and a game another member needed and we unite under one bidder to win it.

If I wanted this auction and DZ posted this, I would shoot him a PM and see if he needed everything in the auction. If so, that's cool, I'd let him have it. If he was looking for certain items in it and I was looking for others, I'd see if we could work together. So I guess we're saying...we love bacon.
DZ-Jay #21 Posted November 4, 2012 (edited) You know something? Bacon is like The Force, it's got a light side (soft) and a dark side (crispy), and it binds the universe together. I guess in a way, it's also like duct tape. -dZ. Edited November 4, 2012 by DZ-Jay
