IntellivisionDude #1 Posted November 12, 2012 (edited) Are Intellivision games that complicated that a kid from this generation can't figure them out? Naa i think he's just an idiot. And i also have another beef with one of the comments left on the video. "Bit of an odd video, but I guess it would teach people of gaming ancestry." Ancestry? It's not like gaming started in the 20's Edited November 12, 2012 by IntellivisionDude
IntellivisionDude #2 Posted November 12, 2012 Oh my god, episode 2 is even worse. He can't figure out the simplest of things. I blame the parents.
SoulBlazer #3 Posted November 12, 2012 I think part of the issue that the INTV controller is VERY hard how to figure out and use in the correct way for someone who has been brought up only playing gamepad and thumb stick games. I see it sometimes also when people try to use a Atari 2600 joystick for the first time. It's not the easiest controller to figure out. You really need someone to show you how to do it. As a kid, I had no problems shifting over from a joystick the gamepad on the NES and then going from there, but I had never had a INTV as a kid either. As a child of the 70s and 80s, it is absurd to me that somebody wouldn't know how to use a joystick! Don't get me wrong, I know what you're saying is true, it's just bizarre. That said, I can totally appreciate a kid growing up with touchscreens, analog pads, and mice, looking at an Atari VCS joystick and saying, "WTF?!" dZ. IntellivisionDude #5 Posted November 12, 2012 I'm still watching these, not sure why. When he gets to the Super Pro sports games in later episodes instead of choosing the computer to play the second player he chooses a second player even though he's playing by himself. Come one that is pure stupidity. lol
Kefka15 #6 Posted November 14, 2012 Hey dude, have you (or anybody) ever posted any videos of that Seemorecast guy? You know, the one with an insane collection and a weird voice?
IntellivisionDude #7 Posted November 14, 2012 Hey dude, have you (or anybody) ever posted any videos of that Seemorecast guy? You know, the one with an insane collection and a weird voice? Uh i might have, not 100% sure. Some people *cough* Cobra *cough* find him insanely annoying and it usually gets a negative reaction. Part of me is insanely annoyed by him as well but i sometimes watch anyway.
IntellivisionDude #8 Posted November 14, 2012 For those wondering who me and Kefka are talking about, it's this kid right here. And this isn't even everything. He also has sealed Sega CD games and sealed games for other systems and some are worth thousands of dollars. And this video is almost a year old so he's gotten more rare stuff since then. Kefka15 #10 Posted November 14, 2012 (edited) pure disorganization pure disorganization I don't think its the disorganization that bothers me as much as it is the fact that clearly he doesn't seem to respect his collection. He strikes me as the kind of person who just sees dollar signs when looking at them. Edited November 14, 2012 by Kefka15
DZ-Jay #11 Posted November 14, 2012 Well, I just saw the first video and I must say, I sympathize with the guy. Have any of you ever tried playing Intellivision Lives! on a PS2? It's impossible! I know, I have it, and it's not any good. Besides, the guy's not reading the instructions. How can you enjoy B-17 Bomber (on a PS2, no less) without knowing that you need to lift off? Of course it sucks. -dZ.
nukeshed #12 Posted November 14, 2012 Have any of you ever tried playing Intellivision Lives! on a PS2? It's impossible! I have, I own it, and sadly, it's the only way I can play Spiker. I will gladly trade it to anyone for a copy of Spiker to play on my SSA, or maybe even a CC3. Feel free to PM me

Feel free to PM me Sorry to hear that. My first second foray into the Intellivision (when I re-discovered it 10 years ago), started with that version. I found it disappointing and largely unplayable, especially those games that require the keypad. The control mapping is also weird. Regarding the CC3, I only have one, and I need it for debugging. Otherwise I'd sell it to you for cheap. -dZ.

That's acceptable, because from what Ive seen and read, Carol looks like a great game that I have yet to own, and I hope you continue to make more games as such to make the Inty scene so much more amazing. also, Pilgrim Carol 2013 what. A Xonox double ender may not be possible, but perhaps a personalized version of the game is? Let me not say that too loud, or else Cmart will have a conniption! -dZ.
