MisterMsk
I was looking at removing the switchbox and just getting a RCA to RF converter. However, I wanted to make sure it was a 75 Ohm output. Does anyone know how many Ohms is the Atari 2600 RF output?
+5-11under
Welcome to AA! All I can say is that it "should" be 75 ohms. The schematics may help: http://www.atariage.com/2600/archives/index.php?SystemID=2600

I saw the switchbox directly under Atari 2600 RF Sections and it shows the Atari input (phono jack) hitting a balun that does 75 to 300 Ohm. Thank you so much! Just making sure. +nanochess
When I got an Atari for the first time I though I would need the balun, but there's a trick. If your TV antenna has two bolts then it has 300 ohms input, but if your TV has a connector looking like RCA but bigger then it has 75 ohms input (almost all modern TV are this way) and you can connect your Atari directly to TV without the balun.
