walter_J64bit #1 Posted December 6, 2012 (edited) Ok, It seem that the monitor that I last used did something to my 1040 STfm when it killed over, my 1040 STfm it has no video out any more when using the montior master all I get is yellow screen but when I use the RF out I get a video from that but it has issues with the top of the screen. I've pulled out my 520 STfm to see if have the same issues when using the montior master I don't have any video issues what so ever. So anyone have any idea whats up with 1040 STfm video out? Charlie_ #2 Posted December 6, 2012 Hi Walter. I once tried to make a video cable for the SC1224 JVC model and must have shorted something because the video on my STFM went bad. I had to order a new GLUE chip from Best. Here is the link to the thread: http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/194834-help-broken-video-from-stfm/#entry2476764

walter_J64bit #5 Posted December 6, 2012 (edited) The 1040 STfm doesn't have the chip at all. :-o Edited December 6, 2012 by walter_J64bit
Charlie_ #6 Posted December 6, 2012 The 1040 STfm doesn't have the chip at all. :-o How could that be ? The picture at the end of the linked thread is a 1040STfm on the table. It says STf but the mobo inside is brand new STFM model purchased from best. I know it was a rectangle chip and one of the two that have the metal straps across them to keep them down in the sockets.
