+Gemintronic #2 Posted December 21, 2012 Zero. I bought a 1010 tape drive recently and haven't had a chance to figure out how to transfer games to cassette.
Rybags #3 Posted December 21, 2012 I bought one of those false cassettes that lets you pipe music from another source - might do some tape load experiments one day. Might do some GTIA heating experiments to see if I can get this DGF stuff working. My Ataris have received plenty of presents the last few years - problem is I've barely used a lot of them. One gift my Atari desk is in desperate need of is to just clear everything off it and give it a clean.
TMR #4 Posted December 21, 2012 i've got an Amstrad CPC6128 for taking to events (so it'll be a traveling companion for my 800XL. =-)

And a new lid for my 400 and 800 Thanks to the kind folks on these forums I'll probably be playing a little special delivery and medieval mayhem if I get time Edited December 21, 2012 by mimo
+Stephen #6 Posted December 21, 2012 If I'm lucky and they arrive, I will be installing the production Incognito in my 800 Failing that, I will just fire up the old xmas tree demo which was one of the first things I ever downloaded (300 baud - took forever).

Hopefully my 800 complete with Incognito should be arriving before New Years Eve so that is something else to look forward to
jk40001 #13 Posted December 21, 2012 A parcel from another AA member just arrived. I stopped working and started to unpack immediately. As expected, I found some very delicate stuff inside: A800 + incognito proto board + incognito final production board. I wish my Christmas break would be at least 8 weeks long

AtariGeezer #15 Posted December 22, 2012 After I've finished Dom's Incognito (and packed mine up to send back to Sebastian after I fried the Xilinx chip last Tuesday ), I might make a printer cable for my P:R: Connection and give it a spin with an old Bubble-Jet. The excitement... How did you fry the Xilinx chip? I toasted one on a U1MB testing the IDE+ 2.0 from an upside-down cable. Thankfully Sloopy had a spare chip and replaced it for me For Christmas, I might get around to fixing my Percom Drives as those are known for blowing the voltage regulators... flashjazzcat #16 Posted December 22, 2012 How did you fry the Xilinx chip? I toasted one on a U1MB testing the IDE+ 2.0 from an upside-down cable. Thankfully Sloopy had a spare chip and replaced it for me I think I remember hearing about the U1MB incident. On "Black Tuesday" as it will now be known, I somehow managed to fatally ass-rig connections for the SIDE button and / or HDD activity LED and thus managed to give the Xilinx chip a zap with anywhere between (according to Candle) 5 and 11 volts DC, presumably because I assumed GND on the power board would do... ah well. These things happen to make sure we check more thoroughly in future...

+slx #18 Posted December 22, 2012 Got an Indus GT for the 800 and joystick adapters for the mini machine of the other computer company starting with A that made it into this decade, hoping to play 4-player MULE on the big LCD. New Year's Resolution: Actually make enough space on the desk to set up the 800 and the Indus and finally use the SIO2SD sleeping on the shelf for quite some time.... beamer320i #20 Posted December 23, 2012 (edited) Definately a good idea, M.U.L.E. is great when there's some human competition! By the way, thought I'd have a go in the current HSC game, just posted my effort.. Will try to join a few more next year. a8isa1 #25 Posted December 23, 2012 (edited) I was bad so no presents for the Ataris this year Perhaps I'll play some of this year's new games, like Asteroids-Emulator, Ridiculous Reality, Pac-Man and even a little Midnight Madness. Certainly I'll play a little Yoomp! (not new but always an Atari celebration!) Edited December 23, 2012 by a8isa1
