Skud
Noticing a few woodgrain electronic devices in the stores, mainly speakers for ipods and mp3 players at the mo. But who knows what could be next?
Unbeliever
That's not surprising, actually. I would like to see them resurface and dominate again!

atariguy1021
Especially in cars! When I was a teenager my friends and I would cruise around our small town, whenever we saw one of those station wagons with the woodgrain panels on the side we would smack the roof of the car and yell "beaverwood." Not sure who started that tradition, but I'd be happy to have the opportunity to yell beaverwood again... so bring on the woodgrain cars. bennybingo
My living room still has the 70's style wood paneling!
Stan
After this I hope to see everything go the 'Jr' route.
Nateo
God, I hope so. I LOVE woodgrain and wood paneling. My wife, on the other hand, is not so convinced... though she did say when we buy a house one of these days I can have wood paneling in the game room! godzillajoe
The whole "finished" side of my basement is wood paneling. I love it. There's a bar and of course a big screen with video games. Gotta order some new home brews for our next "poker night" My living room still has the 70's style wood paneling!
Mirage
Love the woodgrain. My retro room in the basement is original mint wood panelling, done in the late '60s. My '72 Dart has woodgrain dash and door panels. Long live the woodgrain!
RJ
It's an aesthetic aspect today's adults (read: those w/ buying power) are familiar with from their youth, thats why we're seeing it.
SlowCoder
Wood panelling in rooms and cars = awesome! I'm not so much into seeing new devices with a wood grain, as I feel it could detract from the effect of the originals, and may also look cheap. Csonicgo
Brushed steel is coming back, too. in fact, my dad just renovated the kitchen, and it's brushed steel/chrome look. that's FROM THE 1950s! Trends don't really die anymore, they just circulate. The "all black" trend defined the 2000's and early 2010s, it's time to put some color back! zylon
The "all black" goes back further than that. "I'm a perfect stranger in a black sedan. Won't you get inside my car?" Edited December 30, 2012 by zylon
AtariDude
Wood paneling does seem to give a nice feel to some things. I definitely liked it when it came on the Atari 2600. Did not like the fact that it was removed on the later models.
plyboult
My living room is all wood paneling
AtariLeaf
If it was socially acceptable, I would wrap myself in wood grain.
Unbeliever
My alarm clock (an old-style "dream machine") has a nice woodgrain wrap to it. Caught my attention at one of my recycling events and snatched it. Works like a charm.
