esplonky #1 Posted January 2, 2013 I type "telnet darkforce-bbs.dyndns.org" and it says unknown host, and I find out, instead of a hyphen, it put a weird looking 'H' there and when I did "CTRL+-" I got a hyphen but it wouldn't connect still saying "connection refused"
+Stephen #2 Posted January 2, 2013 You need to use "ATDT" in place of telnet. That is the Hayes command for tone-dialing. The software on the other end of the Atari takes care of translating the signals into modem signals that the Atari can recognize.
Joey Z #3 Posted January 2, 2013 esplonky was talking about using his atari as a linux terminal, so he was using the telnet command.
