Parrothead #1 Posted January 2, 2013 Not sure if any of you have begged your K-Marts and Walmarts for one of these displays yet, but you should. You can just buy the remaining cars and ask if you could also have the display. That is what we did and it worked. Otherwise, wait until they are almost empty and talk to a store manager to get it when they are done with it. It can store up to 60 boxed Atari games! Zwackery #2 Posted January 2, 2013 Looks nice! I wouldn't mind having one, but I have yet to see the cars around here. I had to pick up a set from eBay.
+save2600 #3 Posted January 3, 2013 Sweet! Haven't seen anything like that around these parts either though.
Mirage #4 Posted January 3, 2013 That is awesome! Still haven't found any of them at any store. I wonder if it was a limited market release.
Epyx_Fail #5 Posted January 14, 2013 Here's a little info on the cars. Seems they were part of a nostalgic brands series that Hot Wheels did last year. I'm gonna try to find them in a store somewhere. That Stella van is the hotness. http://videogamecritic.net/vgc_ataricars.htm
+Nathan Strum #6 Posted January 14, 2013 Nice! I was in Seattle over the holidays, and found some of the Hot Wheels at a few Fred Meyer stores - but couldn't find Centipede or Tempest until I went to a K-Mart. They had all six cars, plus the display kiosk (the only place I saw it). There were more cars left in it than I wanted to buy, however, so it's probably still there (130th & Aurora). The Atari Hot Wheels are starting to get harder to find - it looks like they're being replaced with a Looney Tunes series now.
Godzilla #7 Posted January 19, 2013 thats dead sexy!
racerx #8 Posted January 19, 2013 Can't find the 2600 van or the kiosk...all the cars have been hanging on pegs.
jhd #9 Posted January 19, 2013 This week, I have checked at the Wal-Mart and Rite Aide stores in Calais, Maine, as well as the Zellers and Toys R Us stores in Saint John, New Brunswick -- nothing Atari-related at any location.
Atari_Bill #10 Posted January 19, 2013 Locally they dropped the price on the Atari cars to 2.59 each. I just picked up the Tempest and Pong cars. I requested that the kiosk be saved for me, but we'll see if it actually happens or not.
Zwackery #11 Posted January 30, 2013 I went and bought a kiosk off eBay, and now I'm waiting for delivery. BTW there is one currently listed for sale on eBay, and the seller stole the pic of the kiosk from the auction where I bought mine!
0078265317 #12 Posted January 30, 2013 I don't see it on ebay. What did you type into the search.
Zwackery #13 Posted January 31, 2013 I don't see it on ebay. What did you type into the search. Try Atari Display Hot Wheels (with Hot Wheels as 2 words).
0078265317 #14 Posted January 31, 2013 Ya, I see that. He's asking 50. That's alot for cardboard.
Zwackery #15 Posted January 31, 2013 BTW, based on his comments to me, there is no way I would recommend this purchase to anyone not to mention that he says in the description that his kiosk has some damage to it.
+save2600 #16 Posted January 31, 2013 Besides the annoyingly small, non-detailed pic - was it the ad in all caps, LARGE font and colored text? Ummm, yeah... those people scream 'idiot' to me.
