Skarro #1 Posted January 7, 2013 Hello all, Hope I posted this to the right place. Is the 2600 S-video mod still available for ordering somewhere? I checked out Longhorn Engineer's website, but I couldn't be sure what the situation was (it says that the mod is "Sold Out", but also seems to indicate that kits can be bought and installed "DIY"). I don't mind doing the soldering/drilling to install a kit into my 2600, but I would prefer a fully assembled PCB kit with all the parts. Ideally I would like 2 kits - one for a 6-switcher woodgrain, and one for a 2600 Jr. Can anyone offer any advice on this? Thanks muchly!
+SpiceWare #2 Posted January 8, 2013 I ordered a few from here, though they're currently out of the boards. http://electronicsentimentalities.com/Assembled%20Mods.html

I'll keep checking back and hopefully they'll get some more in.
tremoloman2006 #4 Posted January 10, 2013 I can vouch for LittleJoe's work. He's modded several 2600s for me and does top notch work!
Ian Primus #5 Posted January 16, 2013 What he means by "DIY" is that he's providing the schematics and everything for you, and that's how you get a mod now that he's not selling it. Many years ago, when he first came out with the mod, he also provided the schematics - and I just built my own from scratch (too lazy to wait for boards in the mail, etc). It's not a complicated circuit, the only annoying thing is that one of the components is only available as a surface mount 8 pin package, so some experience soldering itty bitty stuff is recommended -Ian
