xDragonWarrior #1 Posted January 9, 2013 This is obviously a joke but makes you wonder who actually does this. Talk about running out of room.He has rare games like Chiller(Nes) in the box on the floor ready to get stepped on.Wonder how many games he has and how many games still work that are on the floor. akator #2 Posted January 9, 2013 That's pretty sad. If he is "a collector" as he suggested, he would not store things on the floor. There's obviously something else going on emotionally that makes it OK for him to "store things" on the floor where they can be broken. If he ran out of room, that's when he could do this. Even those that can't or won't build proper storage for their games can buy tons of cheap storage solutions from Walmart, Target, or IKEA. I feel badly for both him and his "collection." Neither one are living up to their potential It kills me to watch these shows. Even worse than video games is when they find dead pets buried under crap, decomposing on the floor. That was a living thing that was forgotten, far worse than stepping on some games.
sqoon #3 Posted January 9, 2013 That's about as 'real' as most reality TV these days.
shadow460 #4 Posted January 9, 2013 Two thumbs down here. Yes, game collecting can take control of a person, and that's not healthy when it does. This is obviously an example (even if it's a fake one) of what happens when the desire to collect takes over. I really think if this was real the piles would be a lot higher. I've cleaned out apartments that were lived in by compulsive hoarders and trust me--compared to those you could eat off the floors of this place. If it really is a joke, it's not exactly funny. I think that psychological disorders are quite personal and the subject should be handled carefully. I hope that whoever does compulsively hoard (or play, for that matter) video games is able to break free of the addiction. Clear the way, folks, I'm stepping down off my soapbox now. Reaperman #5 Posted January 9, 2013 Wow, we certainly are a pack of grumps who have to lighten up a bit.
shadow460 #6 Posted January 10, 2013 I apologize if I sounded grumpy. It's hard to tell someone "That's not funny" without sounding that way. I didn't find any humor in the video, but I didn't find any offense in it, either. It just... wasn't something I would laugh at.
icemanxp300 #7 Posted January 11, 2013 I thought it was funny but I was wincing the entire video looking at them walk over all those nes carts. Then when they started shoveling piles of them into bags I was like even as a joke what collector would do this to his collection? Even if dupes he still had some nice boxed games he "appeared" to grab off the floor.
Reaperman #8 Posted January 11, 2013 (edited) I noticed that he had a custom lightgun holder. Now that's organized. Edited January 11, 2013 by Reaperman
7800 Emucoder #9 Posted January 11, 2013 The fact that some of you are more concerned about his boxes getting crushed and ruining their value is kind of scary. Especially since this is so obviously a shot across the bow at the psychotic collector types who store toys most of the world no longer wants in hermetically sealed Mylar cases. If you think it's a cardinal sin to leave these games strewn about, you missed the joke.
