Cybergoth #1 Posted February 11, 2003 Hi there! I suck at this game. I was playing it for more than an hour, never getting past 20K points... Is it random wether the laser is working against the Aliens or am I missing something? And is it possible at all to beat the Space Treat rip-off screen? Any other tips/strategies for me? Osmeroid #2 Posted February 12, 2003 Any other tips/strategies for me? Here's one for Kabbober, always try to take enemies in a vertical move, most of them tend to be quite vulnerable from this sort of attack.
Cybergoth #3 Posted February 12, 2003 Hi there! No one here playing Alien? Greetings, Manuel
moycon #4 Posted February 12, 2003 Cybergoth, I have a copy on the way. Will have to give it a go once I receive it. Probably this week. Here's the answer to the question regarding your weapon: FLAME THROWER - 1 PER HUMAN: A spurt of flame from this contraption cause Aliens to turn away from you or become immobilized for a short period of time. Use the Throwers carefully. Each has only four secons of flame and the Thrower will not operate in the extreme left or right areas of the screen. You can also use the Flame Thrower to run over a Pulsar without picking it up, allowing you to save the Pulsar to use at a later time.

Cybergoth #6 Posted February 12, 2003 Hi moycon! Cybergoth, I have a copy on the way. Will have to give it a go once I receive it. Probably this week. Ah cool. I'm sure you won't regret it! Argh!! How do they expect me to fight against Aliens with such crap equipment? Are they nuts? Meanwhile I managed to beat the Frogger scene at least once, so it is possible. Paul Slocum #7 Posted February 12, 2003 I played it a bit when you first posted and got my butt kicked worse than you. That's why I didn't reply. It is a neat game though. The missile dots is a cool idea. -Paul
moycon #8 Posted February 12, 2003 Got Aliens in the mail today!! (2 copies actually) It seems to me I played it on an EMU at one time. But I couldn't remember the game exactly. Man what a great game!! An obvious Pac-Man rip off. This is complete with the Pac-Man siren, A sort of WakaWaka when eating the dashes... Or no wait...Those aren't dashes!! They are dots!!! Real live dots. And bonus items that change. Good stuff! I played once and got 21,300. Not bad for a first time I guess.
Godzilla #9 Posted February 12, 2003 I played the heck out of alien as a kid. I loved the way the enemies looked. just evil. I never really had much problem with the bonus screen though. The main part of the game is really hard though. Took a while to master proper flamethrower use at which point I could survive in the maze better. Cybergoth #10 Posted March 11, 2003 Hi there! I suck at this game. I was playing it for more than an hour, never getting past 20K points... Progress report: I'm getting better here! My current Hiscore is over 53K! What a great game, I'm playing it for weeks now and I really love it! Greetings, Manuel
Godzilla #11 Posted March 11, 2003 I'm glad you are finally able to enjoy Alien! :-) And is it possible at all to beat the Space Treat rip-off screen? Just for the record, Alien pre-dates Space Treat by some amount of decadeage. so ST would be a A rip off.
Cybergoth #12 Posted March 12, 2003 Hi there! I'm glad you are finally able to enjoy Alien! :-) It's sooooo cool! Must be the best Pac-Man clone I ever played. Cool graphics with way less flicker than almost any other VCS Pac-Man game and nice gameplay enhancements. I especially like how the AI is done. I don't remember right now, but are the ghosts in Pac-Man able to U-turn like the Aliens? And it almost gives you the impression of the three Aliens being individuals. Especially the one that starts chasing you after a while is an evil bastard. Hehe, I wonder when I'll start giving them names... And is it possible at all to beat the Space Treat rip-off screen? Just for the record, Alien pre-dates Space Treat by some amount of decadeage. so ST would be a A rip off. I know, I know... Space Treat is damn cool, everybody buy the new deluxe version! Cybergoth #15 Posted April 27, 2003 Hi there! There's no manual scan for Alien available on AA. Is it that rare? Greetings, Manuel

Atari Rescue Group #17 Posted May 14, 2003 I'm trying to get a copy of Alien for a friend in Minnesota. He played it as a kid and I got him back into Atari recently. I just learned he found a instruction manual for it. He's probably having flashbacks while reading it and not being able to play. If anyone has an extra Alien to trade I'd appreciate it.
