DaytonaUSA #1 Posted January 16, 2013 Gamestop is almost done clearancing out all PS2 and PSP games. Only certain stores carry PSP games, some only PS2, and most neither. The stores with neither are sending their games to the stores that are designated to carry either PSP or PS2. They aren't going to last much longer than a week though, as they're being shipped off for sale in other countries. Right now it's buy 2 get 1 free, and most games are anywhere from 96 cents to 1.50 a piece, to 3 or 5 bucks, and only a handful of newer titles worth 9 to 14 bucks. I've gotten a bunch of UMD movies for ultra cheap as well, including Aliens for about 1.29 if memory serves me right. I'm not sitting on a stack of 14 games/movies and I barely spent over 25 bucks. Figured I'd help anyone else out there, like me, who's trying to build up their PSP collection at this moment. Heck, even for collectors, these prices are as low as they'll ever get. Happy hunting. akator #2 Posted January 16, 2013 This already happened here back in July 2012. The PSP inventory from dozens of Gamestop retail stores in this region was consolidated to 3 stores. The PS2 games are still in about 50% of the stores here.
cybercylon #3 Posted January 16, 2013 The PS2 games from our stores are long gone. There is a small local chain that still sells plenty of PS2 games, and since people seem to be unloading the last six months, I've gotten some decent deals on some rpgs I've missed out on. Plus, they do not toss out their game cases and instructions. So even if our GS was still selling, I have no interest in buying just a disc that looks like it has been rubbed in road salt. The only thing that might interest me are some of the PSP rpgs... I was going to get a PSP for by birthday last summer, but that never happened. DaytonaUSA #4 Posted January 16, 2013 (edited) There's plenty to be had PSP wise, at least at the stores that carry them. And they're about to go away for good there, so it's worth warning everyone. I got all the below so far, might get more tomorrow. Most came with original cases: Games: Ace Combat X Harvey Birdman Warriors Orochi Virtual Tennis 3 Gitaroo Man Lives PaRappa The Rapper Powerstone Collection Movies: Casino Royale Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy Alien Cowboy Bebop the Movie Brave Story Jerry Maguire L4yer Cake Read more: http://bowsersblog.p...7#ixzz2I7dUnxAd Edited January 16, 2013 by DaytonaUSA
Atariboy #5 Posted January 16, 2013 (edited) Does their online storefront reflect these prices? I just entered about a dozen random PS2 and PSP games in my list to look out for and they all ranged between $10 and $20 and were available locally using their product search feature except a single PSP game that was actually $2.99 (The closest availability of which is at a GameStop 60 miles away so even that doesn't do me any good). If their online prices for the same item are significantly higher, it's worth a look. But at these online prices, I'd just as assume wait. +Gemintronic #6 Posted January 16, 2013 This is a perfect time to go legit for PSP games. It's pretty damn easy to back up your UMD to memory stick nowadays.
