+grips03 #1 Posted January 19, 2013 (edited) I fired up Zombie Near today and played a little bit, and was wondering.. Is it possible to beat the game or does the game go on on? If the game is beatable how long would that take? Are the maps the same game after game, i.e is it worth mapping out the levels to make repeat games easier? Is there a hidden trick to make red and blue player play on same screen, vs. two buildings / split screen mode? <--Question really from my 8 year old Edited January 19, 2013 by grips03

If the game is beatable how long would that take? It would take one or two hours as you don't know the maps, supposing your little agent can stay alive for enough time as I've distributed zombies generously over the map Are the maps the same game after game, i.e is it worth mapping out the levels to make repeat games easier? Yes, the maps are the same. I suggest you to map it as you progress. Is there a hidden trick to make red and blue player play on same screen, vs. two buildings / split screen mode? <--Question really from my 8 year old There are no hidden tricks, in fact the game is so compressed that there was no space for tricks at all. Several people has asked for cooperative mode, but currently there is none.
+grips03 #3 Posted January 19, 2013 (edited) Thanks for the info. I just bought some grid paper so we'll start to map it out. Cooperative mode with two players on the same screen and team would have be great. Games with co-op mode allow me to play Colecovision with my 8 year old and hence get played more often. Level select, to make game easier for kids also helps. Edited January 19, 2013 by grips03
nanochess #4 Posted February 5, 2013 By the way some interesting info for Zombie Near players: If you wait a little in title screen you'll see a small story and pictures of cast. After defeating the big boss of each map, both Delta-1 and Delta-2 answer differently to the operator if they didn't rescued any scientists. The scientists can be shot accidentally. It happens sometimes if you have a happy-trigger finger. Though I've known of players that do it on purpose, even though there are no points for this. And there are three hidden rooms
