Foxy Cleopatra #2 Posted February 12, 2003 I too loved this game, but I played it on the C64 for hours on end. But that was really funny!
Cybergoth #3 Posted February 12, 2003 Hi there! My favourite part of the article is this: Hats-off to you brilliant, lovable Coleco wizards. In any other game, a locked door might pose a real obstacle to an adventurer, but those masterminds at ColecoVision have taken a stand and provided me, with real forethought and generosity, the key to each and every locked door in each and every level of EIGHT LEVELS, MORE THAN A HUNDREDDUNGEONS AND SEVEN THOUSAND ROOMS. Kudos, my friends. Kudos. :D Greetings, Manuel
moycon #4 Posted February 13, 2003 A moustache! Run! HAHAHA !! Thanks Cybergoth!! I have fond memories of this game from my C-64 days. Back then the game didn't seem funny at all. But you have shown me the light!

Gateway #6 Posted February 13, 2003 I got this one( along with many other games ) on a floppy disk from my cousins, for play on our Atari 800 XL! We were always playing it, trying to advance farther than each other, and would call each other on the phone to report our "discoveries". When our families got together, we'd huddle around the XL and take turns through the dungeons. The four of us were between 11 - 14 years old, I think. My cousin even called once and made up this elaborate yarn about getting to level 9 and all the strange things there! It wasn't until recently that he confessed to me that he'd made it all up! I love this game! It has been the standard by which I judge other adventure games and always got my imagination going! I now have the C64 version( with the misspelling ) on my emulator, but recently heard that the game HAS NO ENDING! Is this true? If not, how do I find the actual "gateway" to Apshai? - Weston
