Mirage #1 Posted January 27, 2013 I'm wondering if there's any differences in the boxes between the NTSC and PAL versions of these titles... anyone know? Thanks! RealSports Boxing Alpha Beam with Ernie Big Bird's Egg Catch Oscar's Trash Race
atari181 #2 Posted January 27, 2013 The kids games are in multiple languages on the back of the box. Not sure if all PAL kids games were that way, but if the back has multiple languages(international version) it's PAL . The boxing I'm not sure about.
Mirage #3 Posted January 27, 2013 OK, cool. I'm just thinking of filling the Kids Games (and some other) holes in my collection with PAL boxes (I have the NTSC carts). I think so long as the fronts are the same, I'd be fine with it, since I'm not starting a museum, I just like looking at all of them together in the bookcase
Mirage #4 Posted January 27, 2013 Actually, I just looked at my PAL Fatal Run. It only has English on the back. I have no idea whether that would be true of other red box PAL titles, since that one was different (I think no NTSC version released?), but maybe. high voltage #5 Posted January 27, 2013 (edited) Yeah, red PAL boxes have both , multi language (like QBert or Real Sports) or just plain English (like many other red PAL boxes). Depends how lazy Atari was. Edited January 27, 2013 by high voltage

I got an NTSC game with multi language, it's from Canada, on the back of the box it's in French and English, ok it's not one of the kids game, it's Venture, but still NTSC multi language do exist. Good point. My International Basic Programming and Berzerk have the multi languages on the back, but are NTSC. So basically, it sounds like without actually seeing the back, there's no guarantee -- inconclusive.
