0078265317 #1 Posted February 3, 2013 I just found this. eBay Auction -- Item Number: 271147686459 The problem is I don't remember this from back in the old days. What is this? Is this a home brew? Or was this around back then and I just don't remember?
number six #2 Posted February 3, 2013 Somebody hacked the arcade VS. version onto a cart? Definitely a homebrew.
Seob #3 Posted February 3, 2013 Guess it's a multi game or something. Seeing the dip switches, one can alter the games behavior. Most likely a Taiwan cart or illegal version.
Andromeda Stardust #4 Posted February 3, 2013 Nonono... I have this game. It is a retrousb.com reproduction of the VS arcade game. You can still buy the game new on retrousb.com website for $45 dollars. You can find it under the "NES reproductions" section. And yes, in this version, you can "shoot" the dog during bonus rounds. The dip switch array acts exactly the same as the dip switches on the Arcade board. Converting a VS Unisystem game into an NES cart is definitely a non-trivial porocess. The color pallets in the Arcade PPUs are usually wrong and color value tables have to be changed to their correct values for the NES PPU. Additionally, the input addresses sometimes have to be changed to be compatible with NES, and that includes the "Coin Insert" switch. On the RetroUSB titles, you hold Start+Select to insert coin. These games also require a special custom made PCB board because donor boards for VS titles do not exist. RetroUSB also has other VS titles available. It has been rumoured that retroUSB may stop selling repros in the near future. If this is true, then the colllector value of these carts may go up immensely! I recommecd nabbing one if you can, as these games may be gone forever if retrousb decides to stop selling them. http://retrousb.com
