It will be my first-time-ever-won-patch, as I was a Videopac-man in the eighties and not Atari/Intellivision unfortunately. Those were the systems where you could win the patches. WispFollower #172 Posted March 4, 2013 Instead of adding a bunch of quotes, I will just sum it up by saying thank you for the compliments, everyone! You never know when you will get a big score. I remember starting off just so-so. I lost a couple lives in stupid ways, then went on a long streak on one life. What I do is establish rules for each screen, just like I did with Christmas Carol. I can break the rules if I think the risk is worth it and I have some back up lives. However, to progress through the most screens, I try to stick to the rules. Perhaps that's why my later lives net the most points.. by then, I'm so worried about dying, I stop taking as many risks. It really helps to get over the rushed feeling I always have with timed/bonus points based games. I realized I will gladly sacrifice a few hundred points to make it through the levels safely (following the "rules" of the board). Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

In January, I suggested: For those who will play with real hardware I would suggest uploading your pics to this site: Retrocade Magazine. This site is similar to the Twin Galaxies. You must play on real hardware to submit scores, give your name (not necessary your real name) and take a pick of the full screen. Usually when I got the highest score of a game, I post there. And I like to do it during HSCs rounds. For instance, we played Popeye last season, I used the same pic for AtariAge HSC and to post there. And I already have the top Night Stalker score, for now...
