I've been listening to NES music alot again. What's your favorite NES game song????

 

 

I've always loved the music in Cobra Triangle(although that game makes me mad!)..

 

especially the song that starts at 2:40...

 

 

 

 

And the 3rd level song from Wizards & Warriors LOL....

 

 

 

 

a band I was in a few years ago actually covered this song. I think it's still on my Myspace music page.

Goonies II at the moment. I haven't played much, so I can't say a lot about the gameplay (opinion is divided, as far as I can see). The Goonies theme is rather cool, though. Love that movie.

Level One from Silver Surfer. And thank god it was level one, or no one would have ever heard it. The rest of the soundtrack is awesome as well, but this is the best.

There are lots of great ones (I especially love the Batman one that Proper Rogue posted). Another one that has stuck with me is the overworld theme from Legacy of the Wizard. The game itself wasn't my favorite, but I loved the music.

I agree with Tempest and Shinju about Mega Man music in general.

Especially Mega Man 2 - Dr. Wily's Stage, that is my all-time favorite Mega Man song. It just really gets you excited to play the level and beat Dr. Wily!!!!

 

However, instead of Magnet Man's stage... My vote would be for Mega Man 2's Wood Man.

There are so many awesome tunes from NES games, it's hard to settle on a selection! It's been a long time since I've listened to the Gauntlet soundtrack, the voices may not be the most interesting but the music really is fantastic and quite intricately composed.
