Interest Check: Commodore 1541-II and 1581 drives

Recommended Posts

I'm thinking of selling off both my 1541-II and 1581 disk drives as I'm planning on picking up an SD2IEC or something similar. The 1581 comes with a few floppies I made as well as a few blank DSDD disks; the 1541-II includes these game, which are all original:

After Burner (CIB)

Alien Syndrome (I have a little trouble getting this working though)

Dig Dug

Gradius (with manual)

Kung Fu Master (with manual)

Marble Madness (with reference card)

Shinobi

Sidearms

The Official Frogger/Threshold

I'm also including some used DSDD 5.25" floppies with the 1541-II in case you want to use it with an X1541 cable or the like. I only have one serial cable and one PSU for both so I really don't want to split these up. I'm not sure what to offer, but I won't refuse any reasonable offer.

Alternatively, you could sell the 1581 drive to someone else who has a 1541-II with power supply, such as myself :) Then you could sell the 1541-II separate with the power supply you have.

I've always wanted a 1581, but with my 1541-Ultimate-II setup, I guess I really can't justify it anymore. They are neat drives though.

Can you post pictures of the drives? Some of the 1541-IIs I've seen have had horrible yellowing.
