IntellivisionDude #4 Posted February 23, 2013 Tower of Doom has one of the coolest boxes on the system. I agree. When the topic of Best Box Art comes up i always show 2 boxes, Alien Brigade on the Atari 7800 and Tower of Doom on the Intellivision.
+evg2000 #5 Posted February 24, 2013 Good deal on the game. I'm glad you aren't going to ding the seller, because based on the price you paid you went with the cheaper postage. Maybe the standard postage was for a box, and the cheaper was in an envelope? But it does look like the tape was an added bonus, probable to hold the box together during shipping. I gave them a positive. But i hit them where it hurts with 1 star for communication. lol The 17.09 shipping was for UPS instead of USPS I paid $6.85 for Priority. I really doubt it would of cost him any more if they put it in a box. The seem to be a power seller selling hundreds of items at a time.
+Psionic #7 Posted February 24, 2013 I'm glad you aren't going to ding the seller... I gave them a positive... You guys are crazy. Between the bubble-ope and the tape on the box, I never would've given that knucklehead seller a positive.

Hell, I'm still mad too and it wasn't even mine ! If you sent a message and it was still shipped in the bubbelope I would have nailed him.... just sayin'.... Glad you are happy though !
JasonlikesINTV #10 Posted February 24, 2013 Years of experience on eBay has turned me in to a paranoid buyer that virtually spells out exactly how I want a game to be packed and shipped when communicating with the seller. I sometimes feel like "that guy" and I'm sure I make sellers nervous like I'm the guy who can never be pleased, but I have also never given a neutral or negative feedback. I'm easy to please Most sellers are great, but a small percentage are terrible! Especially with rare games, better to be safe than sorry. I suppose I should now start asking that they don't place tape directly on the box

I'm easy to please Most sellers are great, but a small percentage are terrible! Especially with rare games, better to be safe than sorry. I suppose I should now start asking that they don't place tape directly on the box I'm the same way. Easy to please and have never given a neutral of negative feedback before. And this was the first time i had actually messaged a seller about shipping in a box instead of bubble envelope. I usually would just take my chances. But after my last 2 semi rare games came in a bubble envelope i figured i should ask for this one. Maybe i should of been mean about it. Maybe i should be even meaner since it's a power seller that doesn't reply to messages just because they are too busy selling hundreds of items at a time. I guess i'm just that person that tries to make negatives into positives. I guess i felt that the epic deal and epic bonuses evened out the envelope and tape on the box. The tape came off with no damage and a miraculously the box wasn't crushed. Maybe one day i'll let the horns out and make them pay. But just not this time. lol
