I bought a 3DS. It's a red and black XL model. I have no excuse. It was not a gift, or impulse purchase, nor borne from intoxication.

To feed it, I purchased Fire Emblem: Awakening (card), Crimson Shroud (download), and Petit Computer (download). I also ordered Etrian Odyssey IV (card), and it should be here in a couple more days.

I have to admit, this is probably the first console since the PS2 that I have still been excited about it after I got it home. I have turned in my official Nintendo Haters Club membership card. It was no longer seemly for me to be a member of that respected organization.

I'm not sure, but this may represent a sea change in my gaming habits. Lately I feel more like playing portable games than sitting in front of a TV and playing console titles. I'm not sure if this is my going along with the herd and being part of the larger cultural phenomenon of people moving to mobile devices for gaming, or if it's just me being a little bored with my consoles and wanting to give my portables a little love.
