Parrothead #1 Posted March 8, 2013 (edited) I prepared this for our RetroGamingRoundup podcast - Atar-Rewind segment. Thought I would post it here as well. What do you guys think? Any more to add to this list? http://www.gamegavel...e-never-played/ Edited March 8, 2013 by Parrothead
Chuck D. Head #2 Posted March 8, 2013 Mike, after hearing the list and realizing I actually never played any of them, I did find Worm War I in an unsorted bag of goodies and tried it out. I thought it was fun, just some very familiar themes and game mechanic, but put together in a different kind of way.
Parrothead #3 Posted March 9, 2013 Ya, I always find Worm War when I am out hunting and always assumed it was a crappy game and never played it until just recently. It's pretty damn good and I love the worm animations.
+FujiSkunk #4 Posted March 9, 2013 I actually played and loved Worm War I back in the day, after a friend of mine got it.
fiddlepaddle #5 Posted March 9, 2013 I liked Worm War I and remember looking for the sequel Worm War II, but never found it. Your article has inspired me to go back and try Entombed and No Escape again, which I'm sure I tried at some point, but can't remember them. Thanks for the passion! godzillajoe #6 Posted March 9, 2013 Bank Heist and Demolition Herby are two of my favorite obscure games.
Zwackery #7 Posted March 9, 2013 Laser Gates and Boing! are incredibly fun to play. Boing! is a hidden gem among rares.
+Curious Sofa #8 Posted March 9, 2013 Good list, most definitely. Laser Gates seems underrated, that's a treat and a half. I was just reflecting yesterday on how completely great Crazy Climber for the 2600 is. The gameplay is just wholly addictive, and it's about as perfect as a port of that kind can be. Such irony that it was so rare. Worth the $500 or so it goes for CIB these days? Maybe not, 'til I wins the lottery.
StanJr #9 Posted March 9, 2013 I agree with much of your list! Well done. Laser Gates is an absolute favorite, and No Escape! is tough as nails, yet still very fun. I don't own Road Runner, but aspire to as it looks incredible. I love the NES version. One note: you will play the same game twice in Entombed, at the higher levels there are a set number of mazes you can get and they repeat. I think I counted 4-6 distinct mazes during my days of claiming the world record before Twin Galaxies fell into ruin. That said, it is a great game and very under appreciated. Great list! Parrothead #10 Posted March 9, 2013 Bank Heist and Demolition Herby are two of my favorite obscure games. Both are great, you're right. Bank Heist almost made this list.

Totally missed it until i got the box of games home and went through them. I was so surprised to find it in the wild Edited March 9, 2013 by Parrothead
+Atarius Maximus #12 Posted March 9, 2013 I love Room of Doom and Thunderground, two original carts I own that see a lot of use.
Mayhem #13 Posted March 9, 2013 Played all of those over time. Entombed is great fun in two player mode
