YANDMAN #1 Posted March 12, 2013 Hi i have made two custom game cases one for the 7800 Pac-Man Collection and the other for the new Donkey Kong XM, The cases are hard plastic like a Sega Mega Drive/Genesis case, They are pretty much the same dimensions as an original Atari 7800 box but come in slightly shorter about half an inch or so. I'm selling Each case for £8.00 Plus postage and will post to both Europe and the states. If you have either of these awesome games and would like a nice safe home for them then drop me a message, I will happily work out postage quotes for anyone interested and i accept Paypal. Here are some pictures of both: Thanks
+Trebor #2 Posted March 12, 2013 Hey YANDMAN, Those are awesome cases. Just one note, Pac-Man Collection is at least three arcades in one, as it includes Pac-Man Plus which was its own cabinet. Granted it was only a chip and marquee swap...But still it would stand as its own cabinet alongside the regular Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man cabinets. Ha ha thanks man, I knew this would get pointed out but for the style i wanted to go with i felt the two main machines were best fitting for the cover

KevinMos3 #5 Posted March 12, 2013 (edited) Those are nice, but imo, the "7800" needs to be in the proper font. It's Futura LT ExtraBold. If you don't have it, I can send it your way. Here's a quick mockup (it could be done a lot better if more time were taken) of what it could look like if that font is used and if it's placed at the top similar to the original boxes. Of course, it could be kept at the bottom like you've got it or it could be re-worked to exactly mimic the factory boxes. Again, this is just a quick example of the font Atari used. Thank you for your suggestions, i like what you've done there but im not trying to make these look exactly like ATARI original designs, i wanted to use the style that kept it within being a 7800 box but not copy exactly, Especially with the xm box, the xm brings in a new dawn of gaming for us so why not switch things up a little, Plus ive already processed and sent several orders so im not going to switch them up now, but thank you for your input kevin

YANDMAN #9 Posted March 15, 2013 I believe Marc is also offering DK boxes post #116 http://www.atariage....o/page__st__100 yes obviously due to the picture you posted, Im a big fan of marc's work and if you want a genuine experience this is the way to go, i just found the use of a nintendo 64 era mario on the back a little questionable, but this is a small thing, otherwise a great box.
