Wico 3 way rust?

Recommended Posts

Ok, so I finally ebayed an imfamous wico 2600 with 2 removable handles for 25 dolalrs. But as you can see in the photo there is a little bit of rust at the bottom of the shaft. What is the best way to rid of the rust??

You may need to fully disassemble the stick to clean the rust off it. Some very fine sandpaper should do it, just be careful not to over do it.

I find it interesting that yours has two handle style grips. My Wico three way has the grip handle that is on the left in your pic, the bat style handle and a ball handle.

I noticed that too. Some three way have the lines around the center rim right under the stick part like a pizza and not little lines like the sun. And it is removable. This is not removable and is fixed. I know its weird but that is how I bought it. No box or anything. I might have more handles but that is how I bought it. Even another one on ebay had the box and like you described. But the center like mine and not like a pizza. I thought the pizza was for 3 way and the sun regular but now not sure. But for sure it says wico on the bottom. And works decent except for the rust.

Yes, mine has the removable pieces at the base of the stick that allows it to switch between a 4 way and 8 way stick.

I would use steel wool on the rusted base of that stick, followed by a light coating of WD-40 to protect it from trying to rust again.
