Slor #1 Posted March 16, 2013 (edited) I got mine in the big release last April, complete with loaded CF card and Blue steel case. It’s a darn neat and unique machine, but I must admit to having used it for all of about 2 weeks after receiving it and doing some fine-tuning to the config. I may end up regretting this decision, but I think I’d rather sell it and get it to a good home rather than keep it here and not being used for anything. The machine is in pristine condition, as is the box, literature, etc. – basically brand new with some hours of testing over those couple weeks. At any rate, my total charge in $USD back then was $983.79 for the whole package shipped. I’d re-ship to anyone in the United States for a flat $900, and I'll include a nice power supply that I bought just for the FireBee. If anyone is interested, please drop me a PM. thanks! Mathias #5 Posted March 17, 2013 (edited) Within a few hours sold, ... ;-o So who is the lucky person? Slor, do not forget to set it back to 640 x 480 resolution, or additionally in best case kick everything from the CF card and unpack the entire fresh FreeMiNT again (without booting afterwards!). So the new owner will have that nice "welcome feeling" as well. http://atari.nvg.org/firebee-mint/ Edited March 17, 2013 by Mathias
Slor #6 Posted March 17, 2013 I guess it's ok to tell you since he announced it over on atari-forum - DarkLord got it. We already talked some about the config he'll receive - was kinda thinking I'd send him my tweaked setup along with the idea that he could re-extract to the CF if he wants to start from scratch. On that note, where DOES one get the latest archive? I forget, and I never got an answer to my question to the mailing list a while back. Hopefully, DL will get some good use out of it! thanks James
Mathias #7 Posted March 18, 2013 Okay, so if your finetuning is nice, and should not be lost, why not. It´s just that the Seldesk GEM application and the "welcome screen" just appeare once, as you might remember. But DarkLord will be able to start it manually. But the resolution is mandatory, as you can never know what other monitors can display. So the 640 x 480 in 16 Bit is really important. And the latest archive is the link above that I posted. FireBees still get delivered with it. The new FreeMiNT is available tomorrow, and user applicatoins like zView, Netsurf, ... have to be downloaded at their project pages. That may be why you go no answer (do you mean your mail from 19th of January?), as there is no new setup, and all the links to the new programs are at http://acp.atari.org (again when atari.org it is back in a few days). +DarkLord #9 Posted March 18, 2013 He did. and yeah, I think the 640x 480, 16 bit is a very good place to start. I've got a couple of different CRT's and LCD's lying around that I'll probably end up throwing at it... Thanks guys!
