iswitt #26 Posted March 29, 2013 I've been experimenting on Xbox LIVE with my gamer profile along with Gears of War. I recently changed my whole profile to look as if I'm female. My avatar is a girl and my profile gives no indication that I am not what I claim I am. In Gears of War, I play exclusively as female characters in multiplayer and when I kill you, a "She Devil" medal appears on your screen. I have gotten some pretty obscene and offensive messages from other players who think they are actually playing with a girl. Usually they are of the "get back in the kitchen and leave the gaming to us" nature, but a couple times I've received threats of rape and murder. While I report these people, it is rather disappointing and frightening that people are like this. I can understand why girls wouldn't want any part of some aspects of gaming and why publishers would be wary of publishing a game with a femal lead. NE146 #27 Posted March 29, 2013 heh I do that all the time.. since I have so many Xbox Live accounts I make some of them hot chicks, then I go on Call of Duty and do reasonably well. I do notice I get more people sending me messages when I do.. asking me to join clans, or checking me out, or, of course.. harrassing me. But I guess I'm 44 and the harrassment to me seems about on par with what a child says and I find it a novelty if anything.

Girls need to gang up and get their revenge like this:
+Gemintronic #29 Posted March 29, 2013 I don't see the connection between the horrible teenage failures that dwell on teenspeak and game producers.. except that someday those same teens will end up game producers themselves.. that's a scarry thought. Algus #30 Posted March 29, 2013 Not to be elitist as I do work at Walmart but I prefer to think of some of the primates I've met on Xbox Live as future cart pushers
