Arcadenut #1 Posted February 16, 2003 When it comes to games on the PC, what do you prefer? When you are playing a game, do you prefer to play that game in a window or in fullscreen?
Mustangarrett #2 Posted February 16, 2003 full screen... why would you want it windowed, well unless its a RPG then you could do multiple stuff... but for like FPS, and RTS it needs to be fullscreen.
Ze_ro #3 Posted February 16, 2003 Definitely full screen. The only advantage to windows is for games like SimCity so you can have seperate windows for different information... but even still, the game itself should be full screen, with windows on top of it. I remember back in "the days" when Windows 3.1 was becoming popular, and I couldn't understand why at all. Not only did you have to load a seperate (slow) program just to run what you wanted, but even then you had to settle for a dinky little window! I was a Dos man through and through. --Zero
TheSmirk #4 Posted February 16, 2003 Really depends on the game, but in 97% of the situations, its full screen
sdstuff64 #5 Posted February 16, 2003 For most PC games full screen all the way. But some video games, such as Unral Championship, have been very cool in wide screen.
Vic George 2K3 #6 Posted February 18, 2003 Personally, I prefer having a choice of either fullscreen or windowed.
Ze_ro #7 Posted February 20, 2003 Why would you bother with a windowed mode? The only point in even having windows is so that you can monitor two things at once... but if you have time to do something else while you're playing a video game, then frankly how good of a game is it? The only advantage I've seen with this is that you can glance over at IRC or [insert favorite chat program] quickly. --Zero
Vic George 2K3 #8 Posted February 22, 2003 Why would I bother having a window mode for a game? Maybe because I want to have a choice? I work on creating pages for my website, maybe it's easier for me to do screen grabs that way. Maybe you like it fullscreen; well, that's okay. I'd prefer choice over no choice at all. theaveng #9 Posted February 23, 2003 It depends. I run my Atari/ Nintendo/ Super Nintendo emulators full-screen, but my C=64/Gameboy emulator windowed.
