Is using a Harmony as simple as drag and drop?

I'm thinking of fetching a Harmony cart with my next paycheck, but my only real comps right now are my Android tab and a chrome book. Can I just load the SD card with binaries and be all set or am I going to need to borrow a computer to manage it?

 

Sorry to be noob but I've never owned a flash cart of any sort.

For loading the SD card with all the games you want to play you need a computer (once).

 

From then on, you only need your Harmony cart. And an Atari 2600 of course.

Ok cool. Thank you for the speedy reply sir. My parents have three Windows machines so if its something I only need to do once, I'll be all set.

If you're android tablet or chromebook has an SD slot and you have a file manager where you can format and copy stuff to the card then that's all you should have to do.

 

Just copy the rom files to the SD card and put it in the harmony cart, you'll only ever need Windows if you want to update the firmware.

Thanks so much for the help guys. From what you say I am pretty sure I can load the cart from my chromebook as it reads SD cards. Unf my tab is a Nexus 7 so no card reader.

 

I just put my order in so I'll be finding out one way or another lol
