0078265317 #1 Posted March 28, 2013 eBay Auction -- Item Number: 181108956731 I just found this. He is asking a lot. But anyhow it says rare playstation style for atari. I don't remember any playstation style for atari back in the day. Anyone seen any thing like this before. Or can anyone tell what name is hiding under the cord so I don't have to ask. Reaperman #2 Posted March 29, 2013 (edited) odds are it's a POS from a famiclone. Famiclones often have those connectors. edit: wait a second. I just saw who's selling it--why not just message him, he's on the forum. Edited March 29, 2013 by Reaperman
TLD1985 #3 Posted March 29, 2013 (edited) Even worse... it's from one of those 5 billion in 1 block LCD games...: Edited March 29, 2013 by TLD1985
Reaperman #4 Posted March 29, 2013 (edited) Even worse... it's from one of those 5 billion in 1 block LCD games...: Nah, it's still a famiclone--they just stuck a cheapo lcd game on the main clone system/controller for added sales. I'm pretty sure you're the winner though. Font on the text is right and everything. http://ultimateconso.../advanceboy.htm Assuming it actually does work for atari and sega (I have serious doubts), I might be tempted to throw $3 away on it. Satoshi Matrix #6 Posted March 29, 2013 I don't know if this is an obvious scam or the seller has no idea, but this has a 99% probability from being from a cheap NOAC Famiclone that is barely worth it's incredibly low weight in plastic. Because of surplus parts from the 80's, DB-E nine pin connectors are extremely cheap in China, the ONLY reason they are used. There's a lot of confusion about this conector when it comes to Famiclones, since afterall it's the same physical shape as Atari/C64, Master System and even Sega Genesis controllers. But heres' the important bit: Famiclone DB-E connetors are NOT compatible with any Atari OR Sega console. The Famiclone DB-E standard is actually an NES 7 pin connector ported to the DB-E shape to save money in the manufacturing costs in China. You could modify this to get it working on a real NES, but it's no more an Atari or Sega controller because the plug is the same than a PS3 controller is for a computer running Windows 95 based on the fact that they both have USB ports.
