iesposta
Thanks Jess and Rabbit! RevEng has given a sound effects routine that fixed things. Just a little more work done on this although I think about it daily. Next I plan to debounce the shots so after you fire it continues until it hits something or goes off the top. Vacation is next until mid-June when I plan to program some more. Edit will incl latest bin file. Satan20130507.bas.bin

KevinMos3
I'm still blown away by how good this looks. It's got me checking back every day (seriously) to see if there's any progress. Here's a friendly bump for ya to keep this toward the top where it belongs.

PFL
Am I missing something with the last build? I can't get it to even start (using Stella 4.0 just now)! I've pressed every button I can see! Still, the screenies look great so I too would love to see an update... perhaps a build I could play - there're just far too many many buttons on those old Atari controllers. Looks like you have to move the joystick for it to work, for some strange reason.
Greenfuzz
Was this ever completed?
iesposta
Was this ever completed? No more work was done with this. I was offered help by Byte Knight and others to finish out my batari Basic DK Arcade 2600, then I made the 2600 FLAPPY because it was easy and fun and I wanted to do a speech sample in a game with only 4K. That led to hacking Atari Berzerk into Dr. Who vs Daleks with speech samples, but I want to add different maze walls and wall colors, and AtariVox+ speech along with the speech samples. Just changing the speed of your player to faster and having the enemy able to shoot diagonally it already plays very different than 2600 Berzerk. MissCommand
Loved this game in the arcades, it one was of the few I would play... and this one looks and sounds absolutely beautiful. I imagine the scan lines are off a bit as it is a bit shaky... but really a great start. I would hate to see this one abandoned.
DaveD
Is this done yet? What’ll it take? PayPal? Kickstarter? My credit card number? Social security number? Graphic help? I know people. My soul? Willing to talk.
