Atari the Jedi
So my friend who owns his own retro game shop got a Jauar in from the wild. He told me to make him an offer. He's got machine two controlers, an orginal video cable but only generic power supply he's got a few games but the ones I want are tempest, wolfenstein, and alien vs preadetor all games are loose carts. I see some prices on eBay can be high while thrift shopping it can be dirt cheap but I do not want to troll forever. The only thing I have to offer is a Mario RPG SNES cart and a coleco keyboard so I know cash will play into it. Thanks, a 5200 fanboy who is looking to upgrade. doctorclu
My advice would be to call a retro game store that would sell a Jaguar. See if they can look up the locations that would have a Jaguar and what they are selling it for. My recommendation is the Console Game Exchange (CGX) that we have here in Dallas. https://www.facebook.com/CgxCollinCreek
the_game_haven
I think "Atari the Jedi" is asking what he should offer his friend (who owns a retro game store) for an Atari Jaguar that his friend has recently acquired. For a working Jaguar with the necessary hookups and two controllers I would say about $100. Here's a link to recently ended auctions on ebay for Atari Jaguar consoles to give you a general idea of their values: http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=4&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fsch%2FVideo-Game-Consoles-%2F139971%2Fi.html%3F_from%3DR40%26_nkw%3Datari%2520jaguar%26_pppn%3Dr1%26_dcat%3D139971%26LH_Complete%3D1 To do searches like that for specific games just type in the name of the game in the search field. Then on the left-side column specify that you are looking for a game and not an accessory or system. Then scroll down and on the left-side column click on "More Refinements". At the bottom-left of the menu that pops up click on "Show Only". Lastly check the box "Completed Listings". If you want to get a better AC adapter, then here is my source. This guy has hundreds of brand new, OEM Atari Jaguar AC adapters: http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=4&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fitm%2F120982505755%3FssPageName%3DSTRK%3AMEWNX%3AIT%26_trksid%3Dp3984.m1439.l2649
doctorclu
Offer him $30 and see what happens. "Oh for that ill advertised 64 bit system that was not 64 bit failure that killed the once great Atari? Tell you what, if you pay me enough I'll take it off your hands...." Hey, if people are going to trash the system day and night on the internet why not use that to our advantage?
Jagosaurus
Which original video cable? RF or composite? Jag AV composite is $20 so that might allow you to go up a little. Also Jag composite is A VAST IMPROVEMENT over RF. 2nd best video output behind the Dreamcast for older consoles IMO. My personal Jag had a ton of RF interference. Those are 3 great games. LOVE JAG WOLF 3D.
