interesting Vectrex system box with GCE Q/A tape

I acquired this from someone who worked for Tektronix, they bought it to help develop their own 3D glasses. I've never seen this GCE Q/A tape.

Might it have been a returned unit and Q/A were tasked with diagnosing the problem? Otherwise, It seems odd that testing would be done AFTER the unit was packaged for retail sale.

Yeah, it is strange. I have no idea why that tape would exist unless it was something that was used often.
