Gabriel #3 Posted April 27, 2013 Hmmmm..... Fighting = Soul Calibur IV I'd say Soul Calibur II, but I love that character creator so much. Shooter = Raystorm Every time I think that maybe I overrate this game, I play it again and realize that calling it the best shooter ever is UNDERRATING it. Brawler = Streets of Rage 2 I've been playing this game for over 20 years now and it never gets old. RPG = Ultima IV: Quest of the Avatar The Perfect RPG. TRPG = Dark Wizard Near infinite replay value. Golden Age Arcade = Joust It's hard to choose just one classic arcade game, but Joust is definitely the one that I keep coming back to. Platformer = Castlevania Still haven't beaten it yet.

retrorussell #6 Posted May 3, 2013 Gotta add Alex Kidd in Miracle World as one of my all-time favorite Platform games. WHy is it that game is soo underrated? Probably because it's too "kid-friendly" for some people. Never played that one but I had Enchanted Castle. That one grew on me but I don't play it often anymore, because the Janken game (rock, paper, scissors) is so dul/overdone that being in a video game didn't really hold my interest much. And, the game got brutally hard at one point.
Reaperman #7 Posted May 3, 2013 (edited) Ninja Golf is my favorite golf/beat'em-up game. It's followed very distantly by ATHF Zombie Ninja Pro-Am. It's a fairly under-represented genre. Edited May 3, 2013 by Reaperman
