I preferably use FJC's Sparta Dos Editor (I renamed it as SED).

 

As I remember it can access ALMOST all SIO devices (like H6:-text converter in Atari800WinPlus) and even insert some pseudographics in text!

 

But where is this highly hidden

Just saw this. I know you are still tweaking things, but is there any chance to have a beta version uploaded to play with. This is looking very nice.

I haven't touched the project in ages, but I looked it over the other week. It needs a modification to handle larger files... some day when I get time.

Opps didn't see the original post date. Seems to me that this could be integrated as a built-in app for your GUI (just a thought).
