Imagic carts and INTV systems.

Hello Intellivision guru's!

 

I went to go play some Imagic carts that were working on all of my INTV systems, I went to go play me some Imagic games and now 2 carts will not boot all I get is a black screen and unfortunaly they happen to be on the spendy side. Other Imagic carts appear to load just fine.

 

I understand that these carts are not going to last forever but damn it, it always seems to be the ones that are not easy to find/replace!

 

Anyone else have issues with 3rd party carts on INTV Gen 1 sysetm and variant Gen 1 systems outside of the Gen II?

I have more issues with Imagic and Activision. They take more cleaning and wiggling. The two games I have the most trouble with are Hover Force (Intellivision Inc) and White Water (Imagic). I have 2 non-working Hover Force carts and at least one non-working White Water.

 

Just clean it well, insert 10-15 times in a row, then keep wiggling and adjusting until it works. I have heard this also works with game carts

Yeah I cleaned the hell out of them, I dont even bother with my INTV III system anymore it pulled the guts out of another INTV cart. The pins are super tight on that damn system.

 

I will fiddle with it more

Sometimes I have to put weight on the end of the cartridge to make it light up properly, especially the Activision ones.
