I want a new deck so bad. I haven't played NES in a long time and I want to play my Castlevania III, so that rules out those cheap clone systems. I just want a new deck like that in the picture, very nice!!

I really wish I still had my boxes and posters. I had the posters advertising the games in my room for the longest time.

One day I'll drop the cash on a boxed ROB set.

You know, if you're starting to focus on the NES again you may as well do what I did. Instead of collecting all the titles I used to have I forced myself to only snatch up unlicensed games. First loose (so I can play without worry) and then boxed.

It's made me appreciate the strict licensing that Nintendo had :)

This is a really good point. People love to point out the really crap games in the NES library... Come on, look at how much worse it could have been!

Serious question: which system had the biggest problem with shovelware: NES or 2600?

I'm pretty bias. I say there were no bad games for the 2600 - just games I didn't have the manual for :)

Some of the NES games can't be finished either. Some are so bad people jumps out of the window or something than finishing it. And then there's Cheetahmen2, so badly coded it's literally unplayable.

I can't believe that company considered making Cheetahmen3 for SNES. Good thing they went under before they could shovel more crap.

Awesome! Mine is a hand-me-down CIB Action Set that sat in my mom's garage for an entire decade until 2002. The paperwork and Styrofoam inserts were all there but the zapper and Mario/Duck Hunt were missing, and instead I got four crappy games: Bad Dudes, Abadox, and two others I forgot about. Took me an hour to get the games to load without a blinky screen. I went to Game-X-change and went berserk buying up tons of old games. Thus started a lifelong obsession with retro games and Nitnendo in general. Check my sig. I still keep the box in my closet.

You're right. But, to be fair, your example couldn't actually be played by even a small fraction of game players.

For a common game example that was so broken it couldn't be beat one must look to Athena. Look briefly though: the box is kinda like the ark in Indiana Jones movies.

Actually most of the newer clones like the RetroN or the (especially the) Retro Duo play CV3 just fine mang.

Hi guys,

Glad your back. I just spent $255 on a Panic Restaurant for the NES. Great game and well worth it. Get that for your collection! :)

Been trying to get The Flintstones: Surprise at Dinosaur Peak for the NES as well. But it cost over $500 bucks right now. So I'll wait later on in the summer time to buy it!

Anthony...
