mark #1 Posted February 20, 2003 why is it i see stores selling only game boy advance games and not game boy color games anymore? Anyone else notice this? I have a Sam Goody gift card i'd use and I don't think advance and color games are compatable.
Invader_dag #2 Posted February 20, 2003 No, Advance games won't work on a game boy color, but Color games will work on a Gameboy Advance. The gameboy color is pretty much dead now. The last few games that were developed for it have already passed through department stores, seeing as most of them are about a year old atleast now. You might want to check bargain bins and such
King Atari #3 Posted February 20, 2003 Yeah, the original GB/GB Pocket are long gone now, and the GBC is almost gone as well. One of the stores near me has a few games still there, but nowhere near the amount of GBA games. I'm sure if you wanted GBC games badly enough, they could be found brand new on ebay easily. oesii #4 Posted February 20, 2003 Yeah eBay is the place for recently discontinued system's games. Like KA said you can find them new or cheaper used. A lot of online retailers still want close to retail for new games, ebay is more reasonable. I've also noticed that my auctions for used Gameboy games are doing well recently so it must be hard to find some of these games locally for cheap nowawdays. My Funco has never priced one below $10-$15, most are about $20.
MegaManFan #6 Posted February 20, 2003 Gameboy Color games are starting to be clearanced at the stores here in Omaha. I just picked up a second copy of Mega Man Extreme 2 for $20 (I +sniff+ lost the manual to my first one) and some of the others were $15 or $10 at the Mega Mart. raindog #7 Posted February 21, 2003 Wal-Mart, Target and Toys'R'Us around here still have a handful (a dozen for TRU, maybe 3 or 4 at the other two) of games for the GBC, at full price. The video game stores have a lot of used GBC stuff but also a lot of overpriced new GBC inventory that they don't seem ready to clearance yet. Me, I go to half.com for GBC/GB games.
