TheAtarianGuy
This is me unboxing my Atari 1040STfm that I bought back in December of 2012. I bought it brand new from B&C Computervisions. Best $320 I ever spent.

+wood_jl
Welcome! ST is a nice computer, and was famous for being a Color Mac (@ a time when Mac was black and white) at 1/3 the price, and faster! Welcome welcome!

Bumzyman
Is it just me, or at 1:24 in the video does the label clearly show 520ST on this machine? I mean it shouldn't right, since it has a floppy drive, and its being taken out of a 1040ST box.
delvis
Funny but I saw the same thing. 520ST on the label. Still looks nice.
oky2000
It does so I'm curious is it a 1040 with a 520STFM label in a 1040STFM box or vice versa? I love the squeeky sound of brand new polys being prized from a plastic wrapped machine for the first time haha good stuff.
+save2600
Nice audio indeed! Loved the minty-fresh click of the mouse buttons. I can tell you that in the Amiga universe, the few places left selling "new" or NOS, sometimes are putting certain components together to equal an entire "new" computer. Most of the time, the components *are* brand new, but they may be bastards of sorts. That's probably what's going on here. May be a 1040 computer, but in a new 520 case? TheAtarianGuy
On the B&C website, they said they are apparently out of 1040STfm labels. I'm sure it's a 1040, but I haven't had the chance to test the memory to make sure.
Bumzyman
Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's a 1040 also. At least the case has to be because, from what I understand, all the 520's came without a floppy drive.

However within a few years, it was replaced with the 520STF which used the same case as the 1040STF, including a built-in drive.
Bumzyman
Yeah your right. I guess the only difference between the the newer model 520STf/m and the 1040STf/m is the memory being 512k or 1m.

Only one left, but I've bought from this seller before and he's excellent! 1040STf label: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 200890282010
