I highly recommend buying an IDC16 socket (female) and cutting the ribbon cable to length. Amazon sells a cheapo IDC crimp tool that's very useful. The Radio Shack 1/8 jack worked the best due to thick CV case. I also bought VGA cable with 1/8 audio jack. Makes the cabling nice and clean.
