retroillucid #1 Posted June 15, 2013 This was going to happen one day or another..... Today, I met Toby (coleco_master) We had to discussed about the future of CollectorVision..... Last month (May) marked the 5th anniversary of CollectorVision wich I founded back in 2008 In the last months I started thinking about the future of CollectorVision I though I had little time to put into it but at the same time I knew Toby could handle it carefully, and with respect of the "tradition" For years, I want to make a Coleco History Book But seriously, I'm only a man and I don't have much time to put into it I also want to take care of the virtual Coleco Museum wich I founded with Jim (NIAD) ..... But again, I don't have time to put into it After watching the Atari History video, I knew I had to do the same for Coleco So, I want to make a documentary on Coleco Again, Yes, no time to put into it So... I took the decision to let Toby handle EVERYTHING about CollectorVision for now He is now the one who will take care of it I will continnue to help him by keeping relationship with programmers and the community itself I will continnue to be here, but not as a CollectorVision "employee" ..... Or monkey if you prefer I will sure FORCE him to keep making games and will also help getting some new games to publish ....oh... That's for sure! Je t'ai à l'oeil Toby! Seriously, Toby is the best guy to take care of it, no doubt! Well, The good news is I will now have plenty of time to put into by book, museum and the documentary I always wanted to make! So, the CollectorVision road end here for me, but so many new ways are now open! So, I'm now only the founder of CollectorVision for now! A HUGE THANKS for all the support and comments over the years! It has been a real pleasure to help bringing more games into the scene Cheers all! J-F the RETRO NOT LUCID guy! BTW: The CV Brotherhood Rocks! .... And Telegames Sucks! But hey, you already knew that, don't ya?
retroillucid #2 Posted June 15, 2013 I forgot to say this, even if it can sounds "cliche" By making/publishing homebrew games, you made more friends than money And, that's the reward!
coleco_master #3 Posted June 15, 2013 Thanks J-F, Thank you for this huge opportunity, Thank you for giving me the reins. I for sure accept to take care of Collectorvision for you while you have so much to accomplish, The main reason I accept is because I know you will still be in the team! I wouldn't do it without you J-F. I don't write too often, I'm more of a silent guy. So J-F will still have to post the news about Collectorvision . I will do my best to handle all the emails. (and all orders). I'm sure J-F will keep me busy enough! We also have more projects to come! Its a pleasure to be able to keep the COLECOVISION alive!!!!!
