0078265317 #1 Posted June 25, 2013 My vidoe won't upload to youtube. But here are good pics I found. http://www.overclockers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=613586 Fourth post down including the original poster. Second pic with the shvc sound module thing. I have that. I got the broken super nintendo off ebay many years ago. It works great just heavily chipped. The broken super nintendo I got off ebay few days ago doesn't have the shvc removable sound thing. It doesn't work at all. So I replaced the case top with the other unit I have. The bottom doesn't replace because its different than the other one I have. So I just did the top. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GyZVztuLWcU Pause the video at exactly 2 minutes and 50 seconds. You'll see at the back right no shvc module. Just some metal thing. 1. Is the svhc more rare. 2. Why were there 2 different models. Both are bricks and not jrs. 3. I finally got the non shvc one working. (it has bad power port. very chipped. But still gets power surprisingly.) But no video. I giggled the reset switch a few times and got a video signal. Now it works. Then after swapping cases it broke again. No video. I slapped it a few times and video is back on. So what's going on with the video any ideas. I'm going to ebay it anyway. But just curious on thoughts. sqoon #3 Posted June 26, 2013 Question: What is an shvc module? I have taken many SNES apart and repaired them but have not heard this term used until now.
0078265317 #4 Posted June 26, 2013 Look at the 4th post here. http://www.overclock...ad.php?t=613586 Second pic says shvc sound. Top right. Left is the ac section. The right is the removable sound module.

goldenegg #7 Posted June 30, 2013 Wow it was working yesterday. Anyhow it looks like this. http://www.videogame...ex.php?vprod=20 Edit first post link works only the second doesn't. Try this also. http://www.overclock...ad.php?t=613586 From the site you linked This is the SHVC Plug-in Sound Module for the earlier SNES model consoles that have this separate sound module. Sounds like not all units have this chip, only earlier models.
